Emily’s House is located up on the old “Rising Hill” on Lakeshore Terrace in the town of Hague on New York’s beautiful Lake George. It was built in or about 1903 as with the four other homes surrounding it as 'the caretakers home" - part of the Dixon Graphite Mines. Truly a peaceful neighborhood sprinkled with summertimers and folks that live there all year round. The Lake is a short walk down the hill, about 100 yards, just across Lakeshore Drive. The Bolton’s dock, along with 67 feet of shore, is located to the right of the Dockside Landing Marina. Launch your boat at the Hague Town Park launch site just a quarter mile down the road or rent a boat from the marina!
Emily’s house has a newly renovated kitchen with all new appliances including: ceiling fans, electric range, dishwasher, refrigerator and a clothes washer and dryer. Iron and ironing board, microwave oven, coffeemaker, toaster and the usual kitchen necessities. There are several areas for dining; off the kitchen, on the picnic table and on the front porch or the old fashioned ice-cream table and chairs in the living area.
The bath, as well, has been renovated taking care to save the old clawfoot tub which has been up-graded with a shower attachment.
The living area has a CD player with cable for your ipod and Cable TV with a VCR.
Emily’s house has 3 bedrooms upstairs. One queen bed and two fulls. Closets for all and all three have ceiling fans.
And, of course, there’s the wrap-around porch lined with Adirondack and wicker furniture ~ so kick back and enjoy the surroundings and the magnificent view! |
